Privacy
This policy explains what data JobMatch handles, why, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. The short version: your resume never leaves your computer, and we keep only what's needed to sell and activate your license.
In the app (on your computer)
- Your resume is read on your computer to find your skills and experience. It is not uploaded to us or anyone else.
- Your searches (job title, location and filters) are sent from your computer directly to the job boards you choose (Naukri, LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor). Their privacy policies apply to those requests.
- Computer identifier: to count free-trial searches and to tie a license to one computer, the app sends us a one-way hash of your computer's system ID. The hash can't be turned back into the original ID.
- Updates: the app checks our website for a newer version when it starts.
- Your job hunt (search history, saved resumes, the jobs you mark, your notes and alerts) is kept in a
file on your computer,
.jobmatch/jobmatch.db. It is never sent to us. - Logs stay on your computer, in the
.jobmatch/logsfolder, for you to send us if you need help.
When you buy
- We store your email address, the pass you bought, its price and dates, your Razorpay payment and order IDs, your license key, and the hashed IDs of the computers it is activated on.
- Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never receive your card, UPI or bank details. Razorpay's privacy policy applies to the payment itself.
- We use your email only to send your license key and to answer you. We don't send marketing, and we don't sell or share your data.
Service providers
Cloudflare (website hosting and our database), Razorpay (payments) and Resend (sending license emails) process data for us only to provide their service.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires. Free-trial counts and computer hashes are kept while they are needed to apply the trial and license limits.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data (except what we must keep by law), and withdraw consent, by writing to contact@optionallabs.com. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
JobMatch is meant for adults looking for work and is not directed at children.
